Just having my first major freak out about going to Ireland and leaving behind Notre Dame and what my life is going to to be like at Cornell and beyond. No big deal. And I'm having flashbacks of every moment I can remember in my life. Which is actually quite a lot. I've been through a lot of crazy random shit. And I keep remembering more and more. A lot of stuff that's awesome and a lot of stuff that I can't forget even if I wanted to.
Maybe I'll be able to sleep now...
Pray for me, maybe?

You're So Sweet
It's good thing I'm too tired to cry. Who knows how long I'll hold out. But here are two happy songs that remind me of two beautiful friends.

Creativity
Every creative act is open war against The Way It Is. What you are
saying when you make something is that the universe is not sufficient,
and what it really needs is more you. And it does, actually; it does.
Go look outside. You can’t tell me that we are done making the world.

Call Me Maybe
It was raining after Easter Vigil. Surely that is a good omen.
I think instead of saying "I love you" to people, I'll just say "I see Christ in you. Let me be Christ to you." It's a much more descriptive way of saying the same thing. And perhaps it would help me keep love in perspective.
This year I failed to love. I failed not once but thrice.
As capable as my mind is of separating facts and emotions, I can't seem to escape those moments, those lowest of turning points. The awkward interactions, the callous episodes, the cold looks. Don't think I ever forget.
I don't know what I am called to do. Should I try to fix it? Let it be?
What would being Christ entail?
