Every creative act is open war against The Way It Is. What you are
saying when you make something is that the universe is not sufficient,
and what it really needs is more you. And it does, actually; it does.
Go look outside. You can’t tell me that we are done making the world.

Call Me Maybe
It was raining after Easter Vigil. Surely that is a good omen.
I think instead of saying "I love you" to people, I'll just say "I see Christ in you. Let me be Christ to you." It's a much more descriptive way of saying the same thing. And perhaps it would help me keep love in perspective.
This year I failed to love. I failed not once but thrice.
As capable as my mind is of separating facts and emotions, I can't seem to escape those moments, those lowest of turning points. The awkward interactions, the callous episodes, the cold looks. Don't think I ever forget.
I don't know what I am called to do. Should I try to fix it? Let it be?
What would being Christ entail?
